What metal options do you offer?

We offer 14k and 18k yellow and white gold, as well as platinum, upon request.

Where are the pieces made?

Our pieces are all handmade in Los Angeles.

How is the texture on the pieces created?

Fie begins each design by hand-sculpting it in hot wax. The piece is then cast and finished, with stones carefully set in our Los Angeles workshop.

Why do you primarily design with bezels instead of prongs?

Bezels are central to our design language. They allow the stone to feel embedded within the gold, sculptural, intentional, and protected. The result is a softer silhouette with durability for everyday wear.

Are bezel settings secure?

Yes. A properly crafted bezel is one of the most secure ways to set a stone. The metal surrounds and protects the edges of the stone, making it particularly well-suited for engagement rings intended for daily wear.

Do bezels make the stone look smaller?

Not necessarily. A well-proportioned bezel can actually enhance the perceived presence of a stone by creating a clean frame around it. We carefully balance metal weight and stone proportion so the result feels bold, not enclosed.

What are the lead times for pieces?

  • Ready-to-Ship collection: Pieces available in-store or on our Ready to Ship page are ready for immediate pick up / delivery.
  • Online collection: Pieces that we do not currently carry in-store, but offer online will be ready in around 4 weeks.
  • Engagement pieces: We recommend allowing 12 weeks from deposit to completion.

Do you resize rings?

Yes, we will always happily resize a ring for you (style permitting). The first resize within 12 months is complimentary.

Can all rings be resized?

While most of our rings can be resized, our eternity styles may have limited or no resizing availability due to their continuous stone setting.

What types of stones do you work with?

We primarily work with certified natural diamonds, thoughtfully sourced for their beauty and integrity.

We also work with a curated selection of precious stones. Each stone is individually sourced to align with our aesthetic and quality standards.

All center stones are selected with great care to ensure they meet our expectations for brilliance, proportion, and character.

Can I make changes once production begins?

Once a stone is sourced, and or production begins, changes may incur fees or not be possible.

Bridal FAQs

When should I start the engagement ring process?

Our standard production timeline is approximately 12 weeks for engagement rings. So we recommend starting the process 3–6 months before proposal.

This prevents last-minute panic and protects your production timeline.

For tighter turnarounds, we have a selection of rings available to purchase from our showroom in Los Angeles.

Do you offer custom designs?

We offer thoughtful personalization across our core collection, including your choice of metal, stone type, and carat weight. For bridal pieces, we’re pleased to offer complimentary engraving, and we can also discreetly set birthstones on the inside of the band for a subtle, meaningful touch.

While the settings within our core designs remain true to our signature aesthetic and cannot be structurally altered, we do take on a limited number of fully bespoke projects each year for those seeking a greater degree of customization.

What is your pricing range for engagement rings?

Pricing depends on your choice of metal, stone type, and the specific characteristics of the center stone (carat weight, color, and clarity).

Our engagement rings begin at $14,500, with additional styles in our collection available below this price point.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer pay-over-time options through Affirm.

Can your engagement rings be stacked with a wedding band?

Yes. Although we do intentionally design our rings with “air” between pieces, allowing each to stand on its own rather than sitting perfectly flush.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A 50% deposit secures your production slot and allows us to begin sourcing your stone.

Deposits are applied towards your final balance.

Can I see stones before committing?

Absolutely. We source stones thoughtfully and present options aligned with your preferences before final selection.

What if I don’t know my partner’s ring size?

We can guide you. Many clients propose with their best estimate, resizing after the proposal is very common.

We provide certificates on all stones 1ct+

Do you work with heirloom stones?

Yes, we love thoughtfully reimagining heirloom stones and are happy to review these projects on a case-by-case basis.

All stones must first pass inspection to ensure they are suitable for resetting. Please note that we cannot be responsible for pre-existing structural weaknesses, internal fractures, or prior damage that may affect the stone during the setting process.

We will always advise transparently once we have assessed your stone.

Can you keep the purchase discreet?

Absolutely. We understand how important discretion can be, particularly for engagement ring purchases.

All orders are shipped in unbranded outer packaging with neutral labeling. If preferred, we are happy to ship to an alternate address or a secure courier hold location for collection.

If you have specific concerns around timing, delivery, or communication, please let us know, we are always happy to accommodate where possible.

What can I expect at an appointment?

A relaxed, one-on-one experience where we guide you through styles, stone options, pricing, and timelines.

Do you travel for trunk shows?

Yes. We host private appointments and trunk shows in cities including New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and others throughout the year.

Is there a cancellation policy for appointments?

For appointments held outside of our Los Angeles showroom, we kindly require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.

For these appointments outside of our Los Angeles showroom, a $250 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This will be reissued as store credit and may be applied toward any piece in our collection.

The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellations or changes made with less than 7 days’ notice, or in the case of a no-show.

Shipping, Taxes & Policy FAQs

How are orders shipped?

Every order is fully insured for transit.

Domestic shipments are sent via overnight or two-day service and require an adult signature upon delivery to ensure secure receipt. For higher-value pieces, we may ship to a local courier hold location for collection, a secure option that we sometimes require to protect both you and the piece.

Can you rush my order?

If a piece is in stock and ready to ship, we will dispatch it promptly (allowing time for any required resizing).

Made-to-order pieces have an approximate lead time of 4 weeks, while engagement rings typically require around 12 weeks due to the stone sourcing and production process.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International orders are shipped via DHL or FedEx.

All duties, tariffs, and customs fees are the responsibility of the client. Once your order has been scanned and accepted by the courier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

Do you ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses?

No, we do not ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We are happy to ship to a local courier pick up location.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Orders shipped within the state of California are subject to sales tax based on the county of the shipping address.

At this time, domestic orders shipped outside of California are not charged sales tax at checkout.

For international shipments, all applicable duties, tariffs, and customs fees are the responsibility of the client.

What is your deposit policy?

A deposit is required to secure all made-to-order and commissioned pieces, and certain appointment types (reissued as credit).

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, as they represent a commitment from both parties and allow us to begin sourcing, design development, and production planning. This includes time spent on consultations, correspondence, stone sourcing, and technical preparation.

Should you decide not to proceed for any reason, the deposit will be retained as compensation for work performed and opportunity costs incurred.

At the sole discretion of Fie Isolde, a deposit may be applied as store credit toward another purchase.

Return & Exchange FAQs

What is your return policy?

We offer a one-time exchange or store credit within 14 days of receipt, provided the piece is unworn, in perfect condition, and returned in its original packaging.

Requests received after the 14-day window may not be eligible for exchange or store credit.

Are engagement rings returnable?

Due to the bespoke and highly personal nature of engagement rings, all engagement ring sales are final.

Are customized pieces returnable?

All customized or resized pieces are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

Who covers return shipping?

Clients are responsible for all shipping costs associated with exchanges or customized pieces.

We strongly recommend insuring your return package. Fie Isolde cannot be responsible for items that do not arrive safely at our workshop. Returns must be shipped via UPS or DHL.

Shipping, delivery, and assembly charges are non-refundable.

Returns are typically processed within 5–7 business days of receipt.

Jewelry Care FAQs

How do I care for my jewelry?

We recommend:

• Removing pieces before exercise or heavy activity
• Storing separately in a soft pouch
• Annual professional cleaning and inspection - offered as a complimentary service to all of our clients

Do you offer cleaning or servicing?

Yes. We are pleased to professionally clean and inspect your piece to help ensure its longevity, a service we offer complimentary to all of our clients.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We offer complimentary repairs within one year of purchase, subject to our assessment of normal wear and usage.

After the one-year warranty period, we are happy to repair your Fie Isolde piece for a service fee.

We recommend annual professional inspection and cleaning, a service we offer complimentary to all of our clients, to help maintain the integrity of your piece.

Do you recommend insuring my piece?

We recommend insuring your piece upon receipt. We are happy to provide documentation for your insurer.
